La Cala de MIjas has a nice little town center with a lot of restaurants, super markeds and on wednesdays they have a outdoor marked. Also you have a banks, police, shops, bars, sportsclub and a golf course. The local buss take to either the town of Fuengirola, Marbella, airport etc.... The beach promenade is a strech and take you to Cabopino in Marbella in 1,5 hour. There are a few restaurants along the promenade.
La Cala de Mijas is only 25 minutes drive with a car from the airport, 20 minutes to Marbella and only 7 minutes to Fuengirola. Close to everything.
